The consecration ceremony is a sacred ritual from ancient Eastern traditions, widely seen in Chinese Buddhist and Taoist cultures. Through the opening ceremony, ordinary objects are endowed with spiritual power and become "dharma instruments" to protect people. The monks or Taoist priests chant scriptures and pray for blessings, infusing the cosmic energy into the objects, bringing peace, good luck and protection.
I. Preparation Stage:
1. Choose an auspicious day: According to the traditional culture of Eastern religions, choose an auspicious day and time to hold the ceremony in famous mountains and rivers, energy holy places and religious places.
2. Purify the body and mind: Before the ceremony, all personnel need to perform a purification ceremony, such as bathing, changing clothes, etc., to keep the body clean and pure. At the same time, through meditation, chanting mantras, etc., make your mind calm and focused, and eliminate distractions and interference.
3. Clean the altar and sprinkle the water: Sprinkle the water on the eve of the consecration ceremony. Master Shi Miaocan (the master) recites specific scriptures and cosmic energy mantras to purify the opening environment and drive away bad auras, creating a pure and sacred atmosphere for the next ceremony.
II. Formal ceremony:
1. Invite the saints: The master leads the monks and believers participating in the ceremony to invite the gods, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Dharma protectors and other saints to descend on the temple with a respectful attitude. This step expresses sincere respect and prayers to the saints by reciting the welcoming text, hoping that they will bless the consecrated items.
2. Chanting and praying: The monks chant various Buddhist scriptures and mantras, such as the Heart Sutra, the Great Compassion Mantra, the Diamond Sutra, etc. Through the power of chanting, they connect the energy of the universe, accumulate positive energy, and make the consecrated items blessed and protected by the Dharma. The process of chanting should be focused and pious, with a solemn and peaceful voice, and last for a certain period of time to ensure the full gathering of energy.
3. The main method of opening: The main method of opening gives a lecture, explaining the meaning and purpose of opening, as well as the special cause and condition of this opening. This is not only an education and guidance for believers, but also allows everyone to better understand the connotation and value of consecration
4. Blessing energy: Master Shi Miaocan uses his own magic power and energy, as well as the mysterious power of gods, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, to bless the consecrated jewelry, injecting energy into the jewelry, so that it has the effects of warding off evil, protecting the body, and praying for blessings, making it spiritual. Similar blessing actions will be performed for other items, such as Buddhist beads, pendants, crystals, pendants, lucky bags, mobile phone stickers, etc., to inject the mysterious power of Buddhism into them. This step is the core part of the opening ceremony, and the master needs to have a high level of practice and magic power to ensure the effect of blessing.
5. Return the merits: At the end of the ceremony, the merits accumulated during the opening process are returned to all living beings. The recitation of the dedication text expresses the compassionate care for all living beings and the ambition to promote Buddhism.
